Asian Chicken Salad (In a Mason Jar)

Here’s a yummy (and healthy) idea for a work lunch: Asian chicken salad in a Mason jar!

This recipe is perfect for meal prepping, especially if you want to save time making your work lunches but still want to enjoy delicious salads.

This recipe includes Napa cabbage, which is also called Chinese cabbage, a large-headed cabbage with firmly packed, pale green leaves. In Western supermarkets, you can find Napa cabbage next to the bok choy.

Napa cabbage is healthier than Western cabbages. This superfood is full of vitamin C and other nutrients.

Low-calorie Napa cabbage offers several benefits:

  • It is full of dietary fiber that’s essential for digestive health.
  • It is rich in various plant compounds.
  • It is full of folic acid and Vitamin B.
  • Napa cabbage is also a great source of immunity-boosting vitamin C.
  • The superfood is also rich in vitamin K.
  • Research has found that eating Napa cabbage may help protect you from certain types of cancer.
  • Studies also suggest that Napa cabbage can help lower “bad” cholesterol or LDL (low-density lipoprotein) levels.
